It is 889 km between Oviedo and Barcelona: the longest eastbound leg of our national removals. We run it in both formats: dedicated, with a truck for your move alone and dates fixed in writing, or shared, travelling with another removal on the same route and paying only for the m³ you take up.

The shared option is the cheaper one: you pay for your volume and the departure fits the truck’s route, so you need some flexibility on the date. The dedicated option is the calm one when you have a fixed day — handing over keys, the end of a tenancy: the truck leaves with your move alone, with no groupage stops, and the departure and arrival days are put in writing before we start. Where the truck stops in Barcelona
Ciutat Vella, much of Gràcia and the old centres of many metropolitan towns have narrow streets, single-level paving or access restricted by time of day. Barcelona also has a Low Emission Zone (ZBE Rondes), active on working days. With the exact address we plan the unloading time and check whether space needs to be booked with the city council, instead of sorting it out on delivery day.

A long journey punishes anything badly secured. That is why packing on this route is technical: blankets for wood and upholstery, bubble wrap for fragile items and strap fastening inside the truck body, so the load does not shift over 900 km of motorway.
If you travel shared, your lot is labelled and photographed separately from the rest of the load, with a technical blanket between moves. And if you are moving something of particular value — a piano, a work of art, professional equipment or a wine collection — say so when asking for the quote: it is packed separately and secured separately.

The actual m³
It is the space taken in the truck that counts, not the number of rooms: a half-empty three-bedroom flat fits into less space than a house with a full storage room.
Access, at both ends
A doorway with a wide lift and room to park in front is not the same job as a third floor with no lift on a single-lane street.
The dates
With margin on the date the shared option comes in, which is cheaper; a fixed day pushes towards the dedicated truck.
Storage
If your move-out and move-in dates do not match, your furniture waits in our storage facility in Oviedo; it is quoted separately by the day.
Narrow stairwells in the Eixample and Gràcia
Many buildings in the Eixample and Gràcia have narrow stairwells and small lifts. When a wardrobe or a sofa will not fit, the way out is to hoist it up the façade with a furniture lift. If you know your flat is one of the difficult ones, say so when asking for a quote: we check what is needed at destination and plan it from the start, not on moving day.
